One out of 50 people qualifies for Mensa...
Are You The One? Curious?
Mensa's purpose is to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity, encourage research in the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence, and provide a stimulating intellectual and social environment for members. The only qualification for membership in Mensa is evidence of being in the top 2% of the general population in intelligence. The two methods of qualifying are prior evidence (from a GRE, LSAT, pre-1/31/1994 SAT, military tests, etc., perhaps taken years ago), or sitting for the Mensa Admission Test.
If you'd like an idea of what the Mensa Admission Test is like (although it's not a prerequisite), you can start with the Mensa Workout
, then order the Mensa Home Test. You can find one local journalist's take on her testing session here.

NH Mensa administers the Mensa Admission Test for prospective members on an occasional basis in venues across the chapter. Testing Sessions often can be conducted relatively spontaneously, and we often can accommodate special requests. To reserve a spot or for further details, contact our Testing Coordinator. For candidates at least 14 years old (the lower limit of Mensa's testing capabilities) but less than 18 years old, parents please complete a Testing Consent Form.
