Latest Program Schedule
by 2013 RG Programming Chair Claire Natola

Plans are going at full-steam for the 2013 Granite Gathering! We have a fantastic slate of speakers lined up presenting a variety of topics. Inspired by having narrowly escaped near-certain doom as "predicted" for us in 2012, we will hear about the Maya, about other styles of prophecy, and about impending disasters of other kinds. We also have a few food-related presentations, which are always popular. And to tie it all together, we even have a Chocolate Casting workshop to teach us to read the future USING food! Among our offerings:

Using Space Age Methods to Study the Ancient Maya
The America Before They Were the Americas: Pre-Columbus and Amerigo Vespucci
Solar Flares: Violent Eruptions on the Sun
Introduction to Runes and RunValdr: Energy Healing Using Runes
Ghosts, Science, and the Number 42
The Devil's Trumpet
DIY Zombie Film
Welcome to Burning Man
Body, Heal Thyself
Computer Security
If You Can't Stand the Heat: Facing Global Challenges and How to Keep
on Cookin'
Chocolate Casting
How to Make Sushi

In addition to these wonderful talks, we feature the return of our ever-popular Music Room! Be sure to bring your instruments for our open music jam! Our Music Chair this year is bassist Shawn Chase from the popular Lakes Region-based rockabilly band King Chrome ( King Chrome will be performing Saturday night for our sock hop, so the joint will be rockin'!

So, I hope you'll join us at the Best Western Wynwood Hotel & Suites at the Portsmouth Traffic Circle (580 U.S. Route 1) from Friday-Sunday, February 15-17 for a fabulous weekend in the company of old and new friends! See you there!
